April 28 - May 4
The tooth fairy visited our house again April 29th. Jeffrey was sitting at dinner wiggling his tooth when he said, "I think Dad could pull my tooth out tonight" and wah lah! He had the tooth already in his hand! And just so you know, he is terrible at getting his picture taken. We had several tries to get him to just look normal but it's just impossible if a camera is involved! He's a funny boy. He and Jack both have a loose tooth right now. Jane and Jeffrey were into painting this week, a very messy endeavor. But, whenever I do this with them I feel like such a good mom. Isn't that funny?
Well, look at that, this picture turned out pretty good! Jeffrey painted enough pictures for a book and then wrote on each page. It went something like this... "This is me and Jack. This is my dad. This is when my dad comes home. I like my family." Interestingly enough, the picture he painted of me was left on the cutting room floor!
On Wednesday night I had planned to stay home while John was at scouts but remembered I had to return a video. I loaded the chillen's up and away we went. Now, Baskin Robbins happens to be just next to the video store and it happened to be 31cent night so we happened to go there too. I felt badly later that I hadn't let the kids get more than one scoop until I remembered that we had just had ice cream that afternoon for our afternoon snack. Lucky dogs. The boys had fun climbing on the fire truck.
I found out on this day that I probably have kidney stones again although I wasn't in that much pain. I'm being treated for a UTI which is probably TMI, but hey, this is my journal and these things need documented!
John got all of the bathroom sink fixtures changed out and they are SO MUCH BETTER! He also took down all of our air vents, scrubbed them and painted them and put them back up. They also look, you guessed it, SO MUCH BETTER! Little things do make a difference.
Happy Birthday to Ruth Ann yesterday and I think I forgot to say welcome to the world, Traigen! He was born on the 23rd and we can't wait to see a picture (hint, hint!) As if she didn't have anything else to do. Anyway, have a great week!

Beautiful flowers! The kids are cute too.
I love the Family Circus. That could be me in that picture, except in sweats. I like how you have the book you are reading on your blog. I am always looking for a good book to read. I've been on the waiting list for "Austinland" forever, or so it seems. I've just finished "A Thousand Splendid Suns", I really liked it. Any other good suggestions?
Sound's like a really great week, and by the way thanks again for watching MJ.
