Weekly Review

So...last week found us getting back into the swing of things. At least on Monday. On Tuesday Jane had an MRI at Primary Children's Hospital. She has had problems with her eyes and the doctor wanted to see why, mostly to see if there was a tumor causing it. She does not have a tumor (thankfully!), but may end up having to get surgery to correct her lazy eye, we'll see. Here she is in the picture after getting her IV. She didn't make a peep. That's the doll they gave her for being so brave! Click here to see a video of what she does...a pretty fun doll! It took her a while to get the drug that knocked her out out of her system. We stopped at a McD's to get her something to eat and she had to use the restroom. It was pretty funny trying to get her on, let alone keep her upright. Then when we got home her legs were like jelly but she didn't believe it so she kept trying to get up and walk and she'd just fall over. Being the loving family we are, we laughed our heads off! I finally put a movie on to keep her in one spot, and she eventually was able to walk again. As long as we're talking about Jane...she also started dance class which she loves. She has been going to pretend dance class for a long time now, so she's really in heaven to go to a real one!
And here's sweet pea...she is so crazy with the cupboards. She spied something in the back of this one and just climbed in to get it. The other 3 pictures are at the Walmart hair place, where she had her hair trimmed for the first time, not counting the time I did it :). This one looks better and we're glad to see her eyes again. She won't keep anything in her hair so I feel short hair is staying in her future. Her big news is that she's walking more and more. She is so proud of herself when she's walking that she belly laughs and falls down. I'll try to get it on video, because it really is funny.

This last picture is of one of the few puzzles we did this weekend. This was the family puzzle for the year, and reflects what we're looking forward to this summer! I love the ocean!

In other news...Jack took his first shot during a basketball game and MADE IT! I think I was grinning as big as he was. He is doing better at knowing what's going on in the game and trying hard. Jeffrey could care less at his games, so we're basically wasting our money right now with him. I hope he'll try harder this next week. I got distracted from housework on Saturday because he was building a cool lego thing and I wanted to play. At least this time he let me! Sometimes my ideas don't go over so well. And one last thing... we've had some big trucks here the last little while as they got the footings and foundations poured for our addition. They'll be ripping out my kitchen wall soon, so that should be fun. It is kind of fun to watch the process, and I have to say, I like big trucks and I can not lie! ha ha...So, have a great week!

I am glad everything went well with Jane's MRI! I bet that was a little nerve racking. Sounds like it was a busy but good week.

Wow! What a week! I'm so sorry about Jane's MRI...that must have been hard on you both! I was curious though...could glasses not correct her lazy eye? My dad's an optometrist and I know it is possible...

KA is the cutest girl alive!! Wow!!

And even if you're wasting your money, I bet both of your boys are having the time of their lives!! I can't wait for this spring when T.J. is old enough to start playing sports!!

The goodness of Utah hasn't washed away my filthy impression on you yet. I'm soooo glad. I miss your guts.

LOL! You are so supportive of your drugged out daughter, I have to say, we would laugh too.

We try to do a puzzle on new years eve every year, we have yet to finish one.

Poor Jane! I'm glad "it's not a tuma"! I hope they can fix her eyes. And I know how she feels about getting up and falling over. I'm really glad Iris doesn't fit in our cupboards! I like your puzzle and I'm glad you like playing with legos... I don't!

Oh and my word is hygid...I just threw that one in there for you.
