And this is what we woke up to this morning! It's beautiful. I let the kids walk to school this morning and hope they'll remember these times with fondness!
For FHE we made Valentine's for all our cousins. I printed off some thumbprint art ideas then let them go to town. On Wednesday I had a little party for Jane, her friends, and their mom's. We made bags to hold the valentines, colored pictures, exchanged cards, and had some fun snacks. I think everyone had a good time! On Valentine's Day the boys had their last basketball games of the season. (see pictures below). They both improved over the few weeks of games and I'm glad they did it. That night we had a lovey dovey dinner: heart waffles, you're 'eggs'tra special eggs, I love to squeeze you orange juice, links of love sausage, and I'm sweet on you syrup.
The house is coming along. The walls and trusses are up, but no roof so we are getting lots of snow in there. We are trying to heat the basement up so they can pour cement in there next Monday. Little by little...
In other news, yesterday was President's Day, so the boys slept over with cousins on Sunday night after the family dinner. They had a blast but were exhausted by the time we got them home. John took the day off and we had fun with just the girls. We ate at Warren's, which is a fantastic place if you're ever by one! Jane has her little library class again so she is looking forward to that. I went to Homemaker's Thursday where everyone shared their favorite things...it was really fun and I'd recommend it for an enrichment activity sometime. I learned about a cool oven liner that involves almost no work when something spills over. I've got it on my wish list! I shared my monthly menu's notebook and the little frame I slip notes into for the boys in the mornings. Very fun!

Well, now that you've mentioned it I'd love an explanation of the Menu notebook and the boys note frames as well. You are so creative and cute!
please share with me you monthly menu notebook and I would love to hear about the frame for the boys. What a great idea. I will email you the recipe for the muffins. Sorry, I forgot to do that sooner.
