Lately...

Or, rather, not so lately... here are a few things we've been up to...

We had a fun time swimming at my uncle's house in Alpine, Utah where we were able to meet up with lots of cousins we hadn't seen in a while, plus it was our first time in a pool this summer, which is different from the last few summers, eh!

For Pioneer Day (yes, in Utah we celebrate the coming of the pioneers over the plains. We mostly celebrate that we weren't the ones who had to do it. No, that's an awful thing to say, but they did have it pretty rough and I'll admit to enjoying the benefits of their hard and sometimes breath taking work). Oh wait, I had started a sentence there...For Pioneer Day we went to a park in Logan with some of my family and had KFC. The park is also a little zoo so we took our monkeys to see their monkeys. Not all that different from each other. Afterwards we did fireworks in my parents driveway. We then went onto the little deck on the roof and watched some of the big fireworks being shot off at the park, and were treated to a little extra show of a beautiful falling star.

Lastly, the kids are shown playing with a big box. They turned it into a little house complete with windows, doors, decorations, fighting, and screaming. Just like home. Ha ha...no really, they have had a blast with it.

So, that's all stuff from July and hopefully I'll be able to catch up here at some point! Life really is like a box of chocolates. It's just that I'd like to take just one chocolate at a time and really enjoy it, instead it feels like I have to gobble them up all at once! Still good, still chocolate, just want to savor a little more...know what I mean?
