I'm sure most of you have started school, but we don't start for another week so I'm a little behind. I'm also sure that most of you already do this kind of thing, but here are our little lists for the year...they are arranged in columns so here in the first column are the things they'll do when they get home from school. The second column has ideas for getting homework done quickly!
The first column here (yes, I downloaded these backwards) is what they need to do before coming downstairs, and the second column takes us out the door to school. We have done similar lists every year. Sometimes we draw the pictures, sometimes we cut and paste pictures out of magazines, and this year we took turn picking pictures from google images. It's a fun way to get things done without a lot of nagging (i.e. GET DRESSED NOW! compared with Where are you on your list?) We normally do a nighttime list that includes things like brushing teeth, p.j.'s, and getting school clothes ready, but they said they didn't need one of those any more. :)

Great charts! You're so good at being organized with that stuff. We had a chart, but instead of nagging about specific items, I had to nag about the chart!
AWESOME!! Thanks for sharing. I hope you don't mind, but I'll be using these charts here as well!
What great ideas. I'll keep this tucked away for when Claire's older.
Good ideas! I may need a list for the after school business. The only thing we did to get'em ready for school was to get out the backpack and lunchboxes, they got to pick out a lunchable and treat for their first day, and pick out their first day clothes the night before.
Mary Kate's pretty good, but I think this idea would work really well for my twins.
Schools going fine. I did make lists. The lists are helping so far. I just say "go check your list." Hope it goes well when yours FINALLY go off to school
I don't have those. Too lazy. Basically I just yell until Abby gets her butt out of bed and then I nag until she is at school. I don't really like it, maybe I'll do something else, but probably not! LOL
I love the refresher on the lists. EXACTLY what we need for morning. I hate yelling at them just before they face the world.
