Life continues to be a fun ride around here! Last week we went to Providence for family night...a fun time cleaning up my parents yard for the winter. My mom made chili, cinnamon rolls, and applesauce (still warm!) for dinner. It was heaven for all the senses.
Tuesday and Thursday I taught preschool. We had a grand time playing with squares, the number 2, learning about the earth, and the letter E. I really enjoy playing with the kids and seeing their minds come alive.
Jack stayed home sick Tuesday (sequestered to his room during preschool) and Wednesday. I got a little scared about the swine flu when his teacher mentioned he had 10 kids absent, with confirmed cases of the flu in the other 4th grade class. He was spared the flu but had a decent sinus infection so I'm glad I took him in.
Thursday just after preschool our friends the Veile's showed up. We have known each other since our first days in San Diego, then they followed us to Ridgecrest, and with any luck, we'll lure them to Utah! I love the feeling I have when surrounded by friends...
...and family! The next day my cousins, sisters, and mother came by for lunch. These 3 girls are spread between Utah, Idaho, and Oregon so it was a blast to have them here. I grew up in a family with lots of cousins and family reunions at which to get to know one another. It has made us close, and blogging has made us closer! So glad they would come by for a visit, and hope it will be a permanent part of their trips to Utah! (note to all cousins: would always love to see ya!)
So, if you saw my last post on my loaded laundry room, perhaps this will give me a bit of an excuse! This week looks a little calmer...but you never know!
