People are always asking me...do you stay in a hotel when you go to the beach?
Oh no.
We camp!
Here you can see our set up:
Our kitchen and dining room
Our boys tent
Our tent that we share with the girlies
(One friend said, "Didn't Washington sleep in that tent?")
Our living room
Scooter storage
Bathroom and Showers (25 cents for 2 minutes of shower time)
Water source which became known as the Pig Spout...
So named for the whole pig that got washed out there to ready it for cooking by another group in the campground.
All water we got from there (after we saw the camp host cleaning it) was boiled.

A typical day:
get up and get going
eat a great breakfast
let the kids play
finally get ready and head to the beach
or leave for the day
stay away for a few hours
shower and clean up
eat an amazing dinner
meet up at one of the campsites
eat s'mores or
doughboys
This year we had a bit of dreaming going on as we planned our marketing stragegy, patent plans, cookbooks, and how to spend the millions of dollars we would make turning our dough boys into a business.
(Found out later...we're too late)
Anyway, here we are at our campsite with our doughboys. Perfection.

So what do the kids do for play? They climb trees. Luckily we had a perfect tree-climbing tree on our site.
They also scooter. And scooter. And scooter...
There's a nice smooth cement sidewalk making a loop around the bathrooms.
Or you can go the bumpy route around the campground.

All this playing leads to very sleepy kids.
John got up every morning to run while I stayed in the tent reading.
(I read Heaven is Here this trip)
I also got to have this little treat every morning...
