Just Peachy!

Would you like to see a slice of small town America?  Just check out these pictures from Brigham City's Peach Days Parade...
First I had to save a spot for our big group.  Katie Anne and I set up camp an hour and a half before the time we were allowed to set up our blankets, which was a full day in advance of the kiddie parade (which we missed).

At 10:00 on Saturday, September 8, we gathered to watch the big parade.  Our group included:
Grandma and Grandpa Hicken
Annette, Jenny, and their kids
Nate, Dawn, their kids, and Dawn's parents
Stacy, Andrea, and Alyson
Ben and Charity Call and their kids, who came from Ridgecrest, CA.
Ben's sister, her husband, and their kids
and of course, the John Agren family

While we didn't have belly dancers like in the Ridgecrest Christmas parade, we did have the big guys on the little motorbikes, pirates, bands, and of course the sexy lipo float.  So weird.

On Friday I talked my friend Dani into going down to the booths and to lunch.  We shared a navajo taco (yum) and found some fun things at the booths.  That night the Calls came for dinner then we tried hard to make it to the kiddie parade but it wasn't meant to be.  We did wander the kids carnival for a while, joined by the Andy Agren clan.  We then sent all the men and kids home so we could shop the booths.  Believe it or not, I found some cute clothes!

On Saturday after the parade Jane and I had girl time.  We shared a plate of ribbon fries and a strawberry slushie, then found some cute hair accessories to help the money stop burning a whole in her pocket.

Thank you, Brigham City, for keeping it small town real.
