The week of March 11 was busy and fun...
We had our first 70 degree day...
See me smiling there in the reflection?

On the 12th Katie Anne aced her Kindergarten Roundup.
The Hurricane Hicken's headed our direction for their spring break.
We went to lunch with two of my sisters and 3 nieces.
We had the whole Hicken fam damily over for dinner.
We had a great time with cousins.
On the 13th Katie Anne and I went to Providence with Christine to spend more time with cousins. We helped Grandma pick out paint for her kitchen. Yellow!
On the 15th Katie Anne and I went shopping with John.
First Home Depot...

First Home Depot...

We got home with just enough time for John to put together our new grill. When the old one is disintegrating before your eyes, it's time.
We got back in the car with nephew Royal and friend Archer.
We stopped at In-N-Out for burgers before heading to Cottonwood Highschool for the launch party of Brandon Mull's book, The Beyonders, book 3.
Characters from the book were wandering around...this one is a bad guy.

We waited forever in the hallway, playing games and watching stuff on ipods.
Finally they let us in...

The first part of the show several authors came out. The gal there is Mrs. Mull, and the rest include:
Brandon Sanderson
Richard Paul Evans
Chris Paolini
Tyler Whitesides
Chad Morris
Brandon Mull
They did a fun skit and song. The rest of the night they did little skits with some of the characters from the other Brandon Mull books.
Some of the kids act like they are in the presence of rock stars. It's really cute and sometimes annoying. The kids were especially enamored with Chris Paolini. He is the author of the Eragon series that he published at the age of 15!
They always toss out lots of glow sticks for the kids to wave around. Jeffrey's broke all over him and we had a good laugh. Well, he finally laughed after he realized it did come off.
Jane's birthday was the next day, a perfect end to a very fun week!
