Spring Break

We had a nice week off with the kids. When I was in school we usually just had a couple of days so to be faced with a whole week was different! Monday night for FHE we went to a potluck and egg hunt with some friends at the park. Here's Jeffrey enjoying his findings!

Tuesday we went with a group to see some Big Cats about an hour away. There were a few different types there so it was fun. After the big cats and a yummy lunch we went to see the poppies, the state flower here. They were EVERYWHERE! There is a state park where you can wander the poppy filled hills. We would have enjoyed it more were it not so darn windy! We roamed a little. The trails looked like packed dirt so I took the stroller for Katie Anne, but alas, they were sand! I got a work out pushing her and trying to not get blown over! One funny was when I was loading her into the car the stroller took off (wind!) and one poor guy went chasing it because I was oblivious. He thought the baby was in there so I do appreciate his concern. It gave me a good laugh, but I don't think he thought it was too funny! Here are the kids enjoying the day. We really did have a good time. I'm glad my friend and her two kids could ride with us and spend the day together.
Also during the week we went to see Horton Hears a Who, which I thought was cute. We had friends over to play a couple of times and then on Friday John's brother and his son came for a visit. The boys had a blast playing with him. Here they are playing Monopoly, again! So we survived the week and had fun to boot.
