Inner Beauty
by KJHA
Inner beauty, outer glow
Eyes that shine an inner know.
Worth her own, nature divine,
Never will walk the line.
Worldly cares far from her heart,
Heavenly Knowledge, set apart.
Quick to laugh, slow to judge,
Never a reason to hold a grudge.
Passion, talent, courage, too.
To her heart - always true.
Love of life, balanced, kind.
Charity, gratitude fill the mind.
This! This is a worthy goal -
Inner beauty of the soul.

Chocolate on my Cranium started Wordful Wednesdays and has invited all interested to participate. You can read about it here. I look forward to this because part of my reason for starting a blog was to be able to write a little, and having a topic makes me think! I can't get my button to upload so I'll put it on the sidebar as soon as blogger will let me. So, I hope you enjoyed my little poem about what I think makes up inner beauty. I had two different lines to go with the 'slow to judge' part. The alternate was: And indulges in a little fudge. :) Also true.

Beautiful!
Oh! and I love "indulges in a little fudge!" Absolutely part of the inner-beauty thing.
A little fudge makes everything beautiful in my opinion. :)
You presented a wonderful list of qualities here!
I love it!
Love it! Love you!
By the way, you have BEAUTIFUL/HANDSOME children!
I love to read your blog! Sorry I don't comment often.
Lovely poem. Thanks for participating to share your inner beauty with the rest of us.
I love the poem, you are so talented!
I haven't read you blog for awhile, but I am so happy to see that you showed that I won the bowling game, I didn't even think to include that in mine. Showing my true blondeness again...
I loved your poem! I can't even think how to even start a poem, let alone write one. The pictures of Katie Ann are so cute and loved the pictures of the boys off to school. Hope your house sells soon.
you wrote that poem!! well done.. I wanted to do something similar... but I was going to write down someone elses poem!!
very sweet
A worthy goal indeed!! Very sweet.
That's a beautiful poem. I have a long way to go on my poetry to make your caliber! Oh and I'm sending late best wishes with your move and stuff.
I had no idea you were a poet! I love it.
Very nice, I like it. Does anyone else in your family write poetry? I do not know if you knew, but my dad also enjoys writing poems - maybe it's a Hicken gene?? (not one I inherited, however it seems you did!)
