Fan Friday

It's been a while since I did Fan Friday but I've got a few for ya! The first is pumpkin roll. I had this once in Ridgecrest and a dear sister gave me her recipe. She passed away just a few months later of pancreatic cancer. Every time I make this I think of her. She was so positive through her ordeal and I really admired her for that. Sadly, the recipe she gave me got ruined but the recipe I use now tastes just as good, and still reminds me of her!

So I've been wanting to get one of these ever since we were at the beach and my friend used it and showed us all the disgusting evidence of how well it works. I found one at abcdistributing for $5. I was ordering anyway, so shipping doesn't really count (I was buying a white elephant gift, which I'm a fan of, but can't tell you what it is in case I'm ever at a white elephant party with you!)

And just in case you were wondering...it works. REALLY REALLY WORKS!

Any guesses on what this is?

It's a taco holder! I bought these as a gag gift for John a few years back and have totally loved them! When I'm cooking the taco shells I drape the hot shells over the bumpy parts. Then, when it's time to make the tacos I set them down in the wells and can get three taco's put together pretty quick. We got two in a pack so it comes in really handy! Do you have a wacky gadget in the kitchen that you're a fan of?

And last but not least, my cousin posted on her blog about all the free stuff on Vistaprint. You do have to pay shipping but it may just be worth your while to check it out. (She got a photo calendar, custom return labels, 250 business cards, a custom T-shirt, and a photo flip book. All for $20!) I'm getting some return labels to feed my need to have cute Christmas Card envelopes. And, BTW...I am a HUGEMUNGO fan of Christmas Cards, specifically, getting them in the mail. I just love it.
