Sick.

Well, it didn't turn out to be the booger kind of sick.  Wednesday morning I thought I had a cold coming on, but still took the girls to park day.  After all, the mom's sit in a row and while we talk, we rarely are face to face.  Katie Anne hogged the whole pack of Ritz crackers so I wasn't even doling those out to the other kids.  Safe sick, so to speak.  That afternoon I took it easy, took the kids to their new school to explore and find their teachers for next year (they are trying REALLY hard to make an unnecessary change a little easier).  By that night I was a goner.  Thursday I called my sister and she came right over, cleaned up the dishes, got the girls up and took them home with her.  When she brought them back, she brought my other sister with her, who stayed and played games with them and fed them lunch.  Let me just say, THANK YOU!  I camped out on the lazy boy with the tv on, but not watching.  I don't know why it was on, it just was. (By the way, what I was feeling by now was pain in every fiber of my being.  And I don't use that phrase lightly, here or on fast Sunday.)

When John got home he and the girls drove me to the doctor.  Insert drama here.  I had to go to my kids pediatrician because my doctor was out of the office.  So while he knew me, he wasn't familiar with my history of gagging at the slightest thing or my tendency to faint.  I only did the gagging dry heaves for a minute and suggested he catch me if I went down once, but I guess the whiteness of my face and the lowness of my blood pressure scared him a little and he sent me to the ER (pushed in a wheelchair by nurses across a bumpy parking lot in the rain with a bucket on my lap).  Well, this woke me up a little and on the way I said, "I don't want to go to the ER!"  But at this point no one really thought I knew which way was up.  I called John and told him I wouldn't go in until he got there.  Soon after he got there the ER doc came walking down the hallway and low and behold it was R. Stolworthy who grew up in my ward and was my sisters age and was is still as handsome as ever.  A little discombobulating.  He said that something like this was going around and that I could come in and get checked out or go home and deal with it with more Tylenol and Motrin and rest.

So, Friday and Saturday I took it easy.  That means watching these movies:
Plus, watching t.v., sleeping, moving from the couch to the chair, trying to eat something here and there.  John took good care of me.  Today I am feeling better!  When I craved a little something sweet, I knew I was going to be JUST FINE!  You know what that means, there are 4 loads of laundry with my name on it!

Sorry you're sick. There is a stomach thing hitting every person here. literally. I'm hoping I don't get it before my race on Saturday.

P.S. Love Fever Pitch for a sick day. I would also add Steel Magnolias.

So what did you opt for? The Tylonel or Dr. McDreamy? I know which one is cheaper....

I'm so touched that your sisters came to help! I HOPE I can do that for someone who needs me!
