So easy...

...and yet so hard!

This week we accomplished something that has needed done for about 3 years.

Can you even tell what this is?  It's my crock pot.  This little leg has been broken off for about 3 years.  I kept it in the hot pad drawer because that's where you keep things like this.  The top to the pressure cooker is kept there, too, and a box of matches because why would a kid ever look in the hot pad drawer?  Anyway, I have been propping it under the crock pot every time I used it and actually grew a little proud that I had kept track of it for so long.  It has proved to be an issue, however, everytime I had to take the crock pot anywhere. The night before our ward party I said to John...Do you think JB Weld would hold on that little leg on the crock pot?  (Thanks to Paul Harvey for my first introduction to the stuff!)  He had a "DUH" moment, mixed up the epoxy and WAHLAH!  I have a crock pot with all of it's legs.

Life is kind of like this sometimes, don'tcha think?  Some things are just so easy to fix.  Having too rushed of a morning?  Get up 10 minutes earlier.  Tired of lunch time fights with your kids?  Serve lunch in a muffin tin.  This really worked!  I'm sure there are a million other things that just require a little thinking to solve seemingly big problems.  What can you solve this week?

When I was helping Taryn pack and move the last time she said the key to keeping everything looking and running well and in it's place is to never put it down or put it off. If the leg of the crockpot falls off...don't take it out of your hand until it's fixed. I wish I could inherit this habit.

I love the analogy!!

I agree with Cannon's. I've heard of people who say they never shuffle papers. When they put a paper down, it is in its final place. I'm not so good at that, but I try to do that with emails. It is easier to answer them right away, than save them for later.

I have a leg on my Rice Cooker with the same problem but have yet to get around to putting it back on. Maybe you have inspired me!
