Weekly Review

The week was taken up with last day of school preparations.  I did some big shopping trips just so I could get it in before I got the privilege of taking all the kids to the store with me.
The last day of school is always so exciting.  The boys really liked their teachers this year...Jeffrey actually had 2, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  This one is Mrs. Lambright, and I need to get a picture of him with Mrs. Ellis.  It shouldn't be too hard because she's in our ward.

Jack had Mrs. Julander who was so patient yet firm with the kids.  I was so glad he had a good one before his foray into intermediate school!  He has some big changes coming up.
Jeffrey received the principal's award.  One boy and one girl from each class receive it for being nice, a good example, and trying hard academically.  I tried hard to get a good picture but...oh well...it's good enough!
After that I took the girls to park day, then headed back to the school to be part of that last bell of the year.  The kids went screaming down the halls while "Who Let the Dogs Out" blared over the speakers.  I'm such a nerd...I could not stop grinning and wanted to run and be wild with the kids.  I didn't.
We went back to the park with a pizza and eventually other friends and their mom's showed up.  I myself sat with a blanket wrapped around me, kinda wimpy, guess I still have some California High Desert in me.  The kids ran around having a water fight, playing catch, forming a soccer game, and eating yummy treats.

We headed to Providence for a special cook out that night.  Two of my cute nephews, Taylor and Kurt,  graduated highschool so we gathered to celebrate.  They are good boys and we look forward to seeing what they do with their lives.  That night as I reflected on my own graduation I suddenly realized that Jack will be wearing a similar gown in only 6 years!  Yikes!  Lots to cram in before then...

What's a party in Providence without homemade ice cream??? This time we had green pineapple.  There's Dad and Andrea (neice) getting it ready and later Andrea sampled a bit.
Those were not the only treats, of course...Stacy made awesome graduation hats with brownie pops and ghiradelli chocolates.  Chris made snickerdoodles with purple sprinkles.  It's kind of small, but that top left picture is a funny one...Taylor, newly graduated old man...
Friday Jack went to a birthday party, I took the kids to the grocery store for freebies and games and good deals.  It was so fun we went back Saturday.  Watch out, everyone, I really know how to party!
