Old News...

It's old news to us all, but school has started!  I mistakenly thought that I would have all kinds of free time to blog, clean out the freezer, and keep the house spotlessly clean once I had 3 of my sweeties back in school.  Oops!  Delusional once again!  Since school started I've had a few projects to work on, and haven't accomplished anything on my {dream} list.  So, today, I am going to see if I can get at least one of these going...

The only one that really fits into my 'sit on the couch all day' goal today is blogging.  So here is at least one post...then maybe I'll change the laundry and maybe, just maybe, get dressed.

Jack started at Adele C. Young Intermediate School this year.  He is a big old sixth grader now, rides the bus to and from school, has a big trapper keeper type of binder, and started wearing deoderant, more to get him into the habit for when he really does start to stink.  He gets up by himself most mornings, especially since we printed out a map for him so he'd know how to walk there if he misses the bus. He hated the first week but I think things are settling into a routine for him.

Jeffrey headed into fourth grade this year.  I met one of my best friends in fourth grade, learned to spell beautiful after leaving out the u in a spelling bee, and had Mr. Seamonster (not his real name) for my teacher.  We'll see what Jeffrey learns this year.  He has our neighbor for a teacher who, to Jeffrey's delight, gives homework that can be done on the computer.  He picked out a shirt with a collar for the special occasion of the first day of school.  And no, I don't think he's that excited about school, he just loves bugging me when I try to take his picture.  You should see the ones that didn't work!
Jane is an all dayer now.  She loves first grade, and sets the example for all the kids in her class by getting right to work as soon as she walks in the door of the classroom.  Her teacher, who keeps calling her Paige, is always giving her B-bucks, which Jane loves.  Jane gets up with an alarm, gets herself dressed, and loves packing her own lunch.  The only thing I wish they had in first grade was a nap time, as she is so tired by the time she gets home.
Here they are together...

After I got those 3 off to school we had a back-2-school breakfast for the mom's and tots left at home.  We had all kinds of yummy-put-you-int- sugar-shock breakfast foods, fruit, and good conversation.

Katie Anne is my little sweetie home to keep me going.  I am dreading the day she's gone off to school as well!  She is seriously so delightful to have around.  She just came to me and said, "Mrs, can you put this swimsuit on my baby?"  She started preschool the week after 'real' school started.  I got to be her teacher the first week and we learned all about apples, A, triangles, and red.  There are 4 more kids in the class, which means 4 more mom's as teachers.  I love it!  She loves it!  We all love it!
Putting red tissue paper squares on an apple.
Trying different kinds of apples, and making A's and triangles out of pretzels.
Alligator with triangle teeth, and apple colored red.

So, we are back in the swing of things...afterschool snacks, homework, lost lunchboxes...the works!
I guess That's Life!

I love Jane's hair! Super cute! Your "A" things look very familiar! We did some of that today at preschool!

Omgosh, Kathryn, you're boys look so big it makes me cry. (Wasn't expecting that.) It's not fair that they have to grow up.
