Double Digits

This little sweetie turned 10!
It's hard to believe that we've had 10 years with our Jeffrey.
He is a fun, lovable, curious, hard working, creative kid.
On July 11, 2002 I looked down at my swollen belly in the middle of what was probably a 110 degree day and said, "Hey you in there.  You should come out tomorrow."
And he did.
We're still celebrating!
Due to some scheduling difficulties, Jeffrey had to celebrate almost every day for a week.
On Wednesday I cooked his birthday dinner:
Mexican Meatcups (cheater Navajo taco's)
Only this time we ate them with fried Rhode's Roll's dough.
He requested chocolate cake for dessert.  May not be fancy but very yummy.
After dinner he opened the rest of his presents.
On the way to the beach he opened an MP3 player.

On Thursday, his real birthday, he had a party.  We have decided to have parties at 5, 8, 10, and 12 which means starting with Jeffrey, everyone gets a party on their next birthday.
We had a pizza lunch followed by games.
* Rocket Balloons
* Foameraters
* Water Balloon Relays
*Water Balloon War
* Sponge Toss

We played Heavy Heavy Hangover for present giving, with the giver saying:
Heavy Heavy Hangover
Thy poor head,
What do you wish with a
BUMP
on your head.
Then the giver bonks the birthday boy with the present and Jeffrey had to give that person a wish.
The best was when he said to our neighbor, "I wish that someday you'll follow in your father's footsteps and be bishop of our ward."  What a wish to a 9 year old!
Since we had birthday cake the night before, I just bought ice cream sandwiches for the treat.
But, we had to sing and do candles again so there you can see the glory of the moment in the bottom left hand corner.

The final celebration came on Sunday morning when we had Jeffrey's birthday breakfast...eggs, hashbrowns, and REAL bacon.
Happy Birthday Jeffrey!  We love you!
