A couple of weeks ago we were invited to a slip-n-slide party...
This slip-n-slide was not made of cheap yellow plastic but of old bill board signs.
Three bill board signs, PVC pipes turned sprinkler provided the water, and a little dish soap equals a ton of fun.
Jane finds a ride reminiscent of sea world in an odd way...

The boys avoid a crash but stops their ride short.

As we were sitting there, I mentioned that we might have to clean up soon due to the dark clouds gathering in the west. Not a minute later a huge wind blew in, tossing towels and blankets across the yard. The younger kids started crying, the parents started chasing after things, and we had general organized chaos as we got things cleaned up and kids deposited in the various cars.
Of course, things died down a little almost as soon as we left. As we drove down main street there were all kinds of limbs and debris in the streets. Still, a fun evening and just the relaxation we needed!
