July 16-21 found this group of able bodied hikers at the base of the Windrivers in Wyoming.
They were about to undertake 37 miles, 2 passes over 11,000 feet, and if that didn't take their breath away, the scenery would.

But first we must meet the group.
Here's Kurt, soon to be Elder Bailey as he serves in the Czech/Slovak mission.
How beautiful upon the mountains...

Jack, who caught the biggest fish of the trip among those under age 40.
(which means the honor goes to Kraig for catching the biggest fish in the next age group)

Jeffrey, who thought up pictures to take that might freak me out when I saw them.
(jumping on rocks and climbing on BIG rocks)

The main character is obviously THE WINDRIVERS...
The pictures are amazing but I am told this does not do it any justice whatsoever.
We love finding flowers growing out of cracks in rocks. It's not common, but it happens enough to give one hope that perhaps anything can be overcome. Bloom where you are planted, eh!
And one last little character...
But...if you read the title right...there is more to come.
Stay tuned for Windrivers, Trip 2.
As soon as it happens I'll let you know!
