Back to School

As you may have learned by now, I get things blogged, just a lot later than most.
I'm banking on the old idiom,
Jack started 7th grade at ACYI.  He rides the bus and walks to the stop with his friend Taelor.  He is taking Spanish this year, and does all his math on line, which should help with some of his neatness issues.
Jane is in 2nd grade in Mrs. Abraham's class.  I hear she's a great teacher and so far Jane is as enamored by her as her other two teachers.  She has also started piano and gymnastics and loves both.

Jeffrey is running the school now, being in 5th grade and all.  He will serve in some way on the student council but doesn't know what yet.  It's nice that anyone who wants to can sign up and do something.

These two get to school via carpool in the am, and home by the bus in the pm.

Katie Anne wandered around the house the first few days commenting on how quiet it was.
 I know!  I know!
We try to keep things hopping for her, with preschool, park day, grocery shopping, and play dough.

Before school we introduced our theme for the year and had a party...
You only need A Minute To Win It!
It only takes a minute to get started (on homework, job...)
It only takes a minute to finish up (double check homework, clean up area...)
It only takes a minute to change your attitude.
It only takes a minute to say a little prayer.
It only takes a minute to ___________________.

We played a few 'Minute to Win It' games and called it good.
I think this would make a good FHE lesson as well.  Just sayin'.
