If John were born just after the Israelites crossed the dry sea bed, he would have stopped wandering in the wilderness just a few days ago.

Each candle represented two years of his life!
I wanted to pull off a surprise party for him but the perverbial cat was let out of the bag just days before. I actually felt much more relaxed not trying to hide things. Plus, we had a large snowstorm and I had to enlist his help in getting the driveway and sidewalks cleaned off. So much fun for him to snowblow and shovel all day! I had invited all of our family and a few friends. I served cookies, carrot cake, and an ice cream sundae bar.
