John and I had a chance to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (MTC) Christmas concert so we decided to make a weekend of it. Stacy took the kids for Friday night, then Andrea came up Saturday to take over. We dropped the kids off and made our way to this b-a-r for dinner. As I reached for my purse I realized I had left it at Stacy's house.
Deflation.
I called her up and she said she'd meet us so we got back on the road. Oh did I mention the weather was quite wet and terrible? But I really, really, really wanted to go to that concert. So we met Stacy in Roy. We ate dinner at Panda Express (yum). She went shopping and we were all happy.

We headed straight to the Conference Center after that. We had seats in Balcony 1, but with the big screens we didn't miss anything. We were also just above the door that President Monson came out of . It's an amazing and reverent thing to be in a hall like this where 20,000 people are chatting and whatnot, and then to have it all go quiet as we stand and respect our prophet.

And just for proof...here we are together.
We had fun watching all the people on their electronics. I especially loved the concentration one older man was giving to his frustrating game of Angry Birds.

We enjoyed all of it...here is a taste...
After the concert we were out in a jiffy and able to get a peak at the windows decked out in sugar decorations. Amazing!
After that we headed back to that one place we had tried to go the night before. We had heard they had amazing cheeseburgers and we heard right. We didn't need to eat again that day! We managed to squeeze in some Christmas shopping before heading home to our kiddoes.
Thanks to everyone who helped out!
