We just made it through our 2013 Spring Break.
TUESDAY
Katie Anne attempted to break her nose to celebrate, but luckily she just scraped it up.
We've been putting Mary Kay night emollient cream on it (aka miracle salve) and it looks good.

WEDNESDAY
No pictures for this day. I missed a good opportunity for before and afters since we cleaned bedrooms. We got rid of lots of clothes and toys and shoes and trash. I don't even think I buy that much but there sure was a lot. It feels good to have it done.
THURSDAY
We headed to Providence to meet up with my mom and dad. We took a picnic to first dam on a beautiful day. The kids fed the ducks and other birds on the water. They played with bubbles my mom brought and tossed a frisbee. Near the end they started climbing this tree...
I love this picture because if you look closely at the bottom you can see Katie Anne's little hand reaching up.

We headed to Aggie Ice Cream afterwards, but by then the weather turned on us. We ate our delicious ice cream inside this time. By the time the camera came out Jeffrey had downed his ice cream cone. I let him get a double (which he's never been able to finish) with a bet that he wouldn't finish it. I lost that bet!

On our way out Grandpa and the kids came up with a game by the bike racks. The kids would go under them while Grandpa timed...they got pretty fast, coming in at around 5 seconds!
We ended up back in Providence where the kids rode bikes, played basketball, and tried out new toys, like these attachable heelies.
That night we built the traditional fort in the basement.

While we were down there we got to singing a little Karaoke.
I must say, the word 'singing' is used VERY LOOSELY!
We are terrible and hardly know any of the tunes until we get to the chorus.
BUT...it's very fun. Our favorite is Eye of the Tiger.
It's the thrill of the night! wink wink

FRIDAY
I had a most enjoyable morning laying in bed listening to the rain. I read while all snuggled up and comfy. Really, one of my favorite things.
The kids slept nice and sound in the basement so we didn't eat breakfast very early.
These German pancakes were worth it!
SATURDAY
Katie Anne perfected her bike riding abilities. These pictures show some of her practice time at Grandma's. Last Saturday she could barely go a few feet, now she's taking turns, using the brakes, and driving a mean serpentine. I can't believe my baby can ride a two wheeler!

SATURDAY
We watched/listened to general conference.
After the last session John played catch with the kids while I made some breadsticks to take to Jardine's.

The women folk hung out while the men went to Priesthood meeting. We enjoyed some pizza made with fresh mozzarella (yum!) and my breadsticks. Later we had ice cream sundaes.
Look at these two good lookin' kids!
