Northern Cali Trip, Day 5...Part 2

Lori's bestest friend invited us all out to her side of the mountain for some fun.  We swam in the pool

John always comes up with the funnest games!  It's telling me funnest isn't a word.  Watch this and tell me what you think!

 

He did pull it off later...

No fireworks for us this year, though we did wave a few glow sticks around and made the customary ooh and aah sounds.  We went back home for skits.  Some of us had the goal to have as great a time as they do in Dan in Real Life.  We killed it.

A few random pictures...This is the vineyard at the end of Lori's street.  Loved all the rolling hills of grapevines! 

Wonder where we've been sleeping? 
We bought a trailer and used it!  It was so nice to have our own little spot.
Each of the kids have their own bed.
We were able to hook up to the neighbor who had solar panels so it didn't cost any of us anything but some sunshine to stay cool.

 

Everyone left on Friday.  We followed suit but, while most everyone drove straight through, we did not make it across Nevada that day.  We parked in a rest area to sleep, which was fine, but we did lock all the doors and John slept with his big knife handy. 
We did not get murdered in our sleep so we drove on home the next day and are now enjoying our memories.
