Announcing the marriage of JC and Andrea!
We were thrilled that Andrea, my niece, found a perfect match in JC Jorgensen, her tween friend from middle school. We knew we liked him from the beginning of game nights together and wish them a happy life together.
It rained our whole drive to SLC, but luckily cleared up for the big event held outside in the gardens of the Lion House. You can see that we are all very happy to be there!

During and after...grins as big as Texas, I tell ya!

My sister, Stacy, made Andrea's wedding dress, sewing it literally onto her that morning! I am amazed at her talent and ability to get it all done and look how pretty she is! I am pretty proud of her. A little something came undone at the wedding luncheon, so she just whipped out her needle and thread and fixed it right up!
Back home we found all my kids and a few cousins hanging out. Little Oakleigh enjoys a little time with her great-grandpa.
Here is Andrea's quick version of the reception. I stole this quote directly from her Instagram...
"There was a fantastic (sh**)storm 15 minutes before the reception started. You are lucky if you witnessed: the wind, rain, bleeding tablecloths, people moving everything inside and back out- twice, a hand in my cake, & my dress train dragging across some cherry cheesecakes, then I screamed multiple profanities in front of my grandma, locked myself in the bathroom after that. I forever love everyone that saved the day and made sure it was still a great party for this crazy bride."
As you can tell, it all ended up being just fine! And away they went in his mother's Corvette!
Katie Anne enjoyed her sparkler. It was crazy and I was so worn out at the end.
But not as worn out as Stacy...she had to keep on going! Nathan, her 18 year old son, was speaking in church the next day before leaving on his mission. After that she was hosting a lunch (in her back yard) for all the attendees.
My brother and fam slept over at our house, and got up just before I left to teach my YW lesson. When I came home we loaded up and all headed the farewell. This time we all sat in the backyard trying to find some shade. Ahh, ce la vie!
