Thursday Thirteen #1

My cousin is part of another blog group called Thursday Thirteen. I really like the idea of it but am too computer illiterate to know how to link up to it. I'll try to figure it out later...but the basic idea is to make a list of 13 things every Thursday. And since I LOVE LISTS then this is for me. For my first one I will list

13 things I love about having a newborn:
1. They are a miracle in every way!
2. Tiny hands, noses, lips, toes, etc.
3. Sweet little outfits. But...
4. A baby in just a onesie is about the cutest thing around.
5. If I'm cranky I can blame it on being tired.
6. I feel an extra portion of the spirit is given for those first weeks.
7. Snorts and little exhaust sounds.
8. Watching the older kids play and talk with her.
9. The floppiness and therefore the cuddliness of a newborn.
10. Staring into each others eyes without the slightest hint of self-consiousness.
11. Sharing her with others to bring them a little joy.
12. No guilt about watching t.v., reading, or blogging. I have to sit to feed her anyway!
13. The smiles, definately the smiles!
