Dear Mom,

Dear Mom,

I am writing this letter to plead with you to please remove the curse(s). I am sorry I took all your pencils when I was little, but to leave a curse on me so that I can never find a pencil now just isn't going to help! And when I couldn't find my purse, the baby monitor, and a myriad of other things all I had to do is look in Janie's room. Should I even bring up shoes and how they take them off as soon as we walk in the door then can't ever find them again, especially when we're in a hurry. And I know you asked me to leave my shoes on when I went outside and I didn't and I'm SORRY!!! But to curse me with children that do the same, I just don't understand it! And while I'm asking, could you tell Dad to lift the ornery mornings curse! I realize now that it's better to be happy in the mornings. I may not be Sally Sunshine but I know I was never as bad as my kids are now. I was thinking if you removed the curse and I never put the curses on my kids maybe the next generation will be practically perfect in every way! Now isn't that a good idea! Thank you so much for your help! Love, me

Very creative -- let me know if it works and I will try it with my parents too!

haha!! nice!! Luckily for me, I was the perfect child, and therefore no curses will come upon me with my children...Brian, now, that's quite a different story.

You're so funny!! Thanks for the suggestions on books. I have been reading Whistling Season for 3 weeks. I like it but I just can't stay focused on it. It's definitely not one of those books that you just have to finish in a day. I bought The Bean Tree but haven't read it yet, hope it's good. Have you read Anna Karenina?
