Spring Break, Part II and Easter

Is that the most boring title ever? I could have titled it...More Busy Days, or I'm a Little Behind, as Usual, or Mother Fears Summer May Put Her in the Nuthouse...
Not really, but I did realize that Summer is going to be busy and I need to gear up. That's why, from now until then, I plan on laying on the couch for hours a day to try and save up my energy! We had a very fun Spring Break. The evening of the Baby Animal Days we had John's brother and family over for dinner. The cousins then stayed over night. They had a great time playing together and I don't think I've ever heard them fight. I had some crafts for Ashley and Jane to do (see cute easter egg animals) and I had fun joining in there. Girl Power!

Saturday we went to the Easter Egg hunt in town. They just throw empty eggs all over the grass, the kids swarm on them like crickets on a corn field, then the kids turn their eggs in for a bunch of candy. It turned out to be a good thing, since Jane froze up and only picked up a couple of eggs. That night we dyed our eggs. We didn't get too much into the decorating this year, the kids were just content to play with the colors.

The next morning the kids found their baskets, and the girls found their new dresses. They looked all cute in their matching dresses. The boys had new ties, so don't feel too bad for them. My parents came over for a ham dinner. If you're wondering what those yellow things are in the picture below, it's molded butter. And yes, they were way cute, if I do say so myself! Tax day found us in another snow storm. We have been very warm this week, thankfully, but we are only too aware that our yard is nowhere near done. Can you say FRUSTRATION??? We can, it's called, depending on others. :) Oh well, it will be done some day, right!

Monday was the last day of Spring Break. The kids played at a friends house, then that afternoon we went to see Monster Vs. Aliens with some family. It was cute enough, but it's not one we'll buy. At least the popcorn is cheaper here in Utah, and you get a REFILL! WOOHOO! Plus, they give you little bags so you can divvy it up with the kids. Very smart. Anyway, that's our fun Easter/Spring Break...finally!

The dinner was great? Thanks for some ham - We got 2 meals out of it! The kids look really cute in their Easter outfits. The butter was so cute - we hated to cut into it.
