Sorry, no drama. I just thought I'd share some of my favorite Christmas books and it's very difficult to narrow it down. But...I'll give it a shot! The Night Before Christmas is a must, but which version? Can't narrow it down? Then buy these two. The first is by Mary Engelbreit (I'm a fan, ya know) and the next is by Jan Brett. The illustrations are so different and yet so wonderful! Try them both. And if you need other winter books, Jan Brett has a million like The Gingerbread Boy, The Mitten, The Hat, The Wild Christmas Reindeer...just to name a few.
This little book I happened to get in a Christmas pack in a book order and I love it. It's a different way of telling the nativity story and how the star came to be. I also love any art work by Alison Jay.
This is just a hilarious book. There's also one called Snowmen at Christmas, but this one is better. (in my humble opinion.)
And this one you can look at for hours! It's just so fun to look through. We might try to make some of the little ornaments as outlined in the back of the book.
I absolutely love this book. I'm having Dejavu that I might have written about this last year, but it's just that good.
And my mom read us this one every year to us. I had no idea it was an actual book until I saw it on clearance once a few years back. It is such a wonderful story. I mentioned it at a little group thing yesterday and one of the women started to cry right then. It is a very powerful story and I love it.
So...I might add to this list. I have a lot of the regulars like The Three Trees, Polar Express, and a bunch of others. Which ones would you put on this list?

Thanks for this post Kat. I have some of these but other's are new to me. I've been looking for new ones to read to my kids. Good suggestions.
I LOVE CHRISTMAS BOOKS!
I have 3 of the ones from your post. I would add more to it but most of mine are sitting wrapped under my tree waiting to be opened one night at time and I don't remember all of them. Some we have opened so far are: The Christmas Alphabet by Robert Sabuda (an AWESOME pop-up book, The Gingerbread Pirates by Kristin Kladstrup, and The Christmas Boot by Lisa Wheeler. I even added to my collection this year with some books recommended by Rachel K. I think I will have to had some of yours.
My favorite is The Little Drummer Boy by Ezra Jack Keats! I also love The Snowmen at Night!! I'll have to find some of your favorites
