Many women got flowers for Valentine's Day.
Mine came earlier in the month and, while they counted as a love, they were not my official present. My official present came with a laquer finish...
John could see from the covered counters that I had a haircare appliance problem. His feet knew it too...they stepped on the little plugs... prompting this solution.
He designed and created this box...complete with faux cupboard doors for asthetic value, wired it up so I didn't have to plug into the outlets directly behind the sink (how did that pass code??), and filled it up for me. I really only use the dryer and straightener, though once in a while we curl the girls hair. It also emptied room in an overstuffed drawer.
He is 'so knowing, so trusting. So love-ed.'
(I hope he appreciates that movie quote!)
I took absolutely no pictures on Valentine's day but we had a good one.
I taught preshool and so we glued red doilies and stuck stickers on a box and exchanged valentines. They LOVED it!
I was feeling a little off and bothered so instead of wallowing in it Katie Anne and I went to lunch. It helped a lot.
Then we were off to Jeffrey's class party where I had the hunch and tried not to show it.
That night we had waffles (my waffle iron has heart shapes) and bacon (cause it's so good for the heart).
