I do not dread the end of the school year like I know some mom's do.
However, I do know that life takes on a, forgive me, a life of it's own in the summer time!
To celebrate the transition and the last fairly quiet flex Friday until the fall, we headed up to The Oaks for lunch. Luckily, our winter blankets were still in the van! We went on a beautiful but chilly spring day.
And yes, that burger is as good as it looks. Actually, it's better. This picture does not do it justice!

And just because I don't want to forget I have these pics...
My parent's home has been listed on the National Register of historic homes!
The bottom left watch belonged to my Grandpa Hicken, and I hope to get the rest of the story there.
The watch on the right belonged to my Great Aunt Alice, who was a nurse.

so awesome about Grandpa & Grandma's house! It is pretty amazing.
Hey! I am staying down in Bountiful for the next month! We should get together!!!!
ahhh!
what do I have that will one day go in a museum!!! My VCR we still use, I suppose. And our corded telephone we still use. Oh yeah, and this big old fat tube TV that sits on a big stand instead of hangs on a wall.
At the same time, it's strange to think that something of our grandpa's is in a museum...really? that sounds so ancient.
