I can't remember when we saw this eagle but it's pretty cool to spot one in the wild. I'm also thankful for zoom!!! The picture on the top right is really how far away we were compared to the one on the top left with the zoom.
We also found two eagle's nests, which I think is neat. What's not neat? Shouting out, "Hey I see some baby eagles!" while looking through the binoculars. Everyone was mad at me for a minute.

Jack really wanted to see the Grand Prismatic at the Midway Geyser Basin. We enjoyed seeing (but not smelling) the beautiful area.

The guy walking behind us kept telling us how eager he was to take our family picture for us, that it was Hoosier Hospitality. We finally let him take one :).
Here is my picture of the Grand Prismatic...the steam was hot and heavy but we saw some of the gorgeous blue color caused by thermophiles living in the water.
Here is what it looks like from a different angle, photo courtesy of the web:
Maybe someday we can take the trail that leads to this vantage point...
And here are the girls, running from the stink in their 'Best Sister Ever' shirts.
We headed on down the road and out of the park only to enter the next national park a few minutes later. We were headed to the Teton's. Gorgeous, people, just gorgeous.
Our goal today was Jenny Lake. The kids would have been happy squatting by the edge of the lake all day but we forced them to go on a little hike. Besides the whining of two little girls, the hike was pretty and we made it too a good viewing point. Next time we'll try for the waterfalls there as well.
We stopped at a picnic area to eat our dinner of cold grilled chicken, bread, and vegetables. We'd eaten our sandwiches in the car at lunch time due to road construction, so this was much prettier. We are all still sporting our bites from this picnic...flying ants and mosquitoes galore! There was actually a humming from of all the bugs so it was kind of creepy.
On the drives John and I held hands...we were in the midst of remembering our 15 years of married life together, celebrating our anniversary the next Sunday. Good times, good memories.

Ah, I miss you, my friend! We did Yellowstone and the Tetons last year! Good times, and amazing sights. The Tetons are truly breathtaking!
Just gorgeous! We love the Tetons! Looks like good times, except for the bites!
