Jane really was sick and had a fever all of Saturday. She watched lots of movies at the Condo while John and I took turns entertaining the other kids. The boys and I went and wandered the shops and found t-shirts for everyone. John took the boys and Katie Anne for a walk, picking up a 50 cent ice cream cone at the Imax theater both coming AND going.
Sunday he took those same three kids to go to church, coming home a few minutes later after seeing a sign on the door telling all the visitors that the 'regulars' were in Rexburg at Stake Conference. We decided to attend the church of the great outdoors instead.
Jane felt much better so after lunch we headed out.
We stopped at Gibbon Falls. Yellowstone is full of them and we saw as many as we could.

Next we stopped at Artist's Paint Pots. Jane didn't feel like going so she and I stayed in the car. She played on the ipod and I people watched. Wish I hadn't seen that couple downing their beers before getting in their car and driving off.

We stopped in Mammoth for a picnic snack of granola bars, cheese and crackers, and apples. The girls had fun playing on the steps of the post office and the boys tossed a football back and forth.
On the way home we decided to visit Norris Geyser Basin, a place we hadn't stopped before. This area hosts the largest geyser in Yellowstone: Steamboat Geyser. We watched it spitting out water for a while, hoping against all odds that it would go off. It hasn't had an eruption since 1995!
