YS Tuesday

On Tuesday we headed to the Canyons area.  First stop: the Brink of the Upper Falls.

Even being this close and safe felt thrilling!  So much water and force.

We enjoyed another picnic, this time without the bugs.  We had a raven close by waiting for us to drop some food, and 'people vultures' waiting to take our table :).

We ate sandwiches for lunch every day.  Everyone could choose a chip, a juicebox, and a snack.  We also had grapes and carrot sticks with ranch.  We all got pretty sick of sammy's by the end of the trip, but it saved us a bunch of moolah.

Here is the classic, iconic view of  Yellowstone...the Lower Falls.

We drove a ways to get a little closer, then we walked aways (over 300 steps!) to get even closer.  Going down is MUCH easier than going back up!

We took another little hike to get a different view.  The trail was full of switchbacks and frankly it was harder to get back up than the stairs!  My back was certainly done at the end of this day.

Jeffrey found a little spot to crawl into.  I adore this picture!
