Fan Friday

Oh dear, there's that darned alliteration again. I just love it! Anyway, I had so much fun with a previous fan post, that I wanted to do another one! I'll perhaps do this once in a while, such as on a Friday, so that I might keep on calling it Fan Friday.

This week I have three (or so) things I'm a fan of. One is connections. In my Wordful Wednesday post, I noted the dates in which I served a mission. One of the comments came from a gal I have never met, but who, somehow, came across Chocolate on my Cranium's blog, and read my post. Wow, long sentence...not always a fan of that! Anyhoo...her husband served in my mission! I looked him up in my mission photo, and there he was, just down the row from me. How interesting! While serving my mission I found people I was related to, people who knew my cousins, people who were from my hometown, and so on. When I moved to San Diego the first person I talked to at church knew someone I also knew. Don't even get me started on the connections in Ridgecrest! Talk about a long sentence!!! But, I do love making a connection.

Secondly, I have been under the weather this week, and have been watching too much t.v. Can you say HGTV? I just love Candice Olsen from Divine Design. I have never seen her do anything I didn't like (and covet!!!). I would definitely choose her if I ever got to pick. Plus, she's kind of goofy, and I really like that!
Also while watching t.v. I came across some 5 minute shows on PBS called Handmade. The short clips were people doing a craft of some sort, set to classical music. Wouldn't that be nice, to see our life set to music some time? Anyway, there was this guy doing super teeny tiny sculptures that were amazing. I watched his segment several times! Thanks to Google (see previous fan post) I was able to find his website by typing in 'world's smallest sculptures'. His name is Willard Wigan and you can check out this two minute video to find out some really cool stuff about him and what he does. I'm so sorry I couldn't get the video to post here. I'm not a fan of frustration!
Once again I have to ask: What are you a fan of today?
P.S. I'm such a fan of the post options, because I'm writing this on Thursday and scheduling it to post on Friday. How cool!

Love it!! I just read through your Wordful Wednesday post about the name. 2 things.

1. How COULD you love a man who called you Kathy?

2. You're welcome for making you an aunt. Well actually you're welcome from my parents...

Connections are way cool. One of the winners of my celebrate post decided to ask if my dad served a mission in Italy with her dad. She had been a follower and commenter on the blog for a while but didn't want to seem stalkish. Come to find out our fathers were best friends on their missions and still keep in touch with each other! My dad was here when I got her e-mail and he thought it was simply amazing how small the world is especially now with the internet.

I am a fan of a Drill. It makes putting things together, or hanging things so much easier. Great post, I am a fan of your Fan Fridays.

So wierd to somehow be caught up in your Choc-on-cran circle. You see, last week I was searching for a craft template, and google brought up her blog. I was impressed..."Check Back when I have more time" I noted to self. Then I forgot. Then I found your crazy connection on your blog...so, though I don't know her, I know *and LOVE* you, and so I feel I now have an "in" with her. Crazy.
